  • Render Level

    What is the Render Level?
The Render Level is a setting you can set in the Advanced Configuration. All in all it is the graphic card hardware acceleration. There exists 4 Values for this setting:
1 - Bad - Standard setting before the update
    2 - Good
3 - Better - Standard setting after the update
4 - Best - The best setting, but can create graphic bugs related to the age of the graphic card.

The higher the Render Level is, the higher the graphic card get used, also better FPS (Frames Per Second) and also less lags. But some graphic cards dont support level 4 (even if they say they do) which generates ingame graphic errors (invisible walls, missing objects ect.). Really old graphic cads also could generate lags by settings over 1, so if you have a old graphic card, try all settings and check ingame.

    How to set the
    Render Level automaticly:
By open the advanced configuration a check will happen which determines if your graphic card supports level 4. If yes, you can set Level 4 by setting the Graphic Level to Middle or High. Using Custom profile and set it to 4 works too.

How to set the Render Level manually:
In the Sky-Fighter clientfolder you will find a file called like "SF-Config.ini" Open this with a texteditor. Right after "Render_Level=" you have your current Render Level, edit this value between 1 and 4.

  • Anti Aliasing Level

What is the Anti Aliasing Level?

The Anti Aliasing Level is a setting you can set in the Advanced Configuration. It does prevent loosing data by rastering a 3d object in cubes to show them on the monitor. If activated the 3d edges get smoothes which makes you not noticing them.
There exists 4 Values for this setting:
0x - Best Speed - No edge smoothing
2x - Good Graphic - Noticeable edge smoothing
    4x - Better Graphic
8x - Best Graphic - The strongest edge smoothing

The higher the Anti Aliasing is, the more the graphic card have to calculate, which reduces the speed and can cause lags.

    How does it look like?

    Top - No Anti Aliasing ( x 0 ) (With Anisotropic Filter x16)
    Bottom - Best Anti Aliasing ( x 8 ) (With Anisotropic Filter x16)

How to set the Anti Alaising automaticly:

You can set Anti Aliasing Level by using the predefined profiles or custom settings

How to set the Render Level manually:

In the Sky-Fighter clientfolder you will find a file called like "SF-Config.ini" Open this with a texteditor. Right after "Anti_Aliasing=" you have your current Anti Aliasing Level, edit this value to 0, 2, 4 or 8.

    Anti Aliasing Quality

What is the Anti Aliasing Quality?

The Anti Aliasing Quality is a sublevel setting in the Advanced Configuration related to the Anti Aliasing Level. By increasing this values you increase the quality of the smoothed edges which results in better graphic but uses more GPU.
